
Pride of PNG Awards for Women was first incepted in 2007, as a Community Initiative of the CPL Group. This initiative has come a long way with 64 Winners in total since 2007 to 2018. The patron of the Awards is the Governor General of PNG, Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae. A judging panel consisting of community leaders and senior representatives within Papua New Guinea industries and sectors will select the winners of the Awards. The Awards is the flagship program of the CPL Foundation, and is hosted biennially at the National Parliament State Function room.

Nominations are open for the 2022 Pride of PNG Awards for Women Empowerment.
Nominate an unrecognised outstanding PNG woman in your community, institution or workplace in the following categories.
i. BRAVERY & COURAGE MEDAL
For an individual whose act of bravery helped saved a life or, assisted someone in danger.
ii. CARE & COMPASSION MEDAL
For an individual who has shown care and compassion by taking the initiative to help improve the standard of living for disadvantaged people in their community.
iii. COMMUNITY SPIRIT MEDAL
For an individual, or group, whose voluntary and/or charitable initiatives that have most improved the quality of life of a fellow citizen or a group of people in their community.
iv. EDUCATION/ROLE MODEL MEDAL
For an outstanding achievement in the field of Education either, as an educator or a student.
v. ENVIRONMENT AWARD MEDAL
For an individual or group whose actions have improved the environment, in a positive way.
vi. YOUNG PNG AWARD MEDAL
For a young Papua New Guinean, having demonstrated outstanding leadership, passion, mature judgement, and moral character beyond her years.
